This week was focused on creating a type system. It was the first time I had really focused on how all the different type would look and blend together on one page. When you break it down and see it from the hierarchy of top to bottom or from what is more important to grab attention first, you really can breakdown why some web pages or publications are better than others.
I really enjoyed researching and focusing on type systems and how intricate and detailed they can be. This was a good example and exercise for me in seeing how UX isn’t all just buttons and wireframes mockups. Type systems are so important in making content accessible for all by being well put together, thought out and keeping a solid hierarchy through out the system.
Next week is the last week of my first UX class and I have already learned so much, I am looking forward to the last week of class and the start of other classes as I expand my UX knowledge.
